    Hi, I'm Kimberly!

    I’m Kimberly Richardson, a Functional Wellness Coach helping women THRIVE through perimenopause and beyond!

    Many times prescription medications are used as band-aids. As a pharmacist, I see it every day!

    After years of struggling, I was able to go from a stressed out, burned out hormonal hot mess to feeling calm, confident and energetic again!

     

    But I'll be honest...getting to this point wasn't easy.

    When I hit my forties, everything seemed to change.

    I was working a stressful job as a retail pharmacy manager, taking care of an elderly parent with dementia, and trying to find the time to be there for my significant other, Travis (who, bless his heart, remained loving and supportive, even when I would bite his head off for no reason!).

    I found myself getting stressed out more easily and snapping at my family and colleagues. Not only that, my energy levels seemed to tank, I gained 20 pounds for seemingly no reason, and my mood swings were all over the map.

    I was doing everything I could to hold it together, but I knew something just wasn’t right.

    So I went to my doctor who ran some labs, and gave me the news….

    Everything was normal.

    But I didn’t FEEL normal. I may have looked fine on the outside, but on the inside I was struggling!

    I was desperate to lose the extra weight, calm my mood and get my energy back

    SoI tried...

    And then I realized...

    I wasn't doing anything wrong - it was my hormones!

    Perimenopause is quite simply hormone chaos!

    Not only that, perimenopause can begin up to TEN years prior to menopause! That means symptoms can start as early as your mid-thirties. 

    I couldn’t believe that, even as a Doctor of Pharmacy (with an undergrad degree in BIOLOGY no less!), I couldn’t connect the dots as to what what happening inside my own body.

    So I took a deep dive into holistic health and became a certified Functional Medicine Practitioner specializing in hormones and women’s health.

    I discovered that despite my “normal” labs, I was actually struggling with estrogen dominance, suboptimal thyroid function and HPA Axis Dysfunction (aka adrenal fatigue!).

    Once I finally put the puzzle pieces together in my own health and got on the path to hormone harmony, I began to see the same dynamics happening with my perimenopausal patients.
